What a session includes
01.
Swedish massage
Whole body, moderate pressure, long even strokes. The default session and the right first appointment for most people.
02.
Deep tissue
Firm, slow work on the two or three places that have been holding. Bring a specific complaint and we spend the hour on it.
03.
Hot stone
Warmed basalt stones along the back and shoulders. The heat opens the muscle, so less pressure is needed to reach it.
04.
Relaxation session
Ninety lighter minutes with nothing to fix. Booked most often in December and in the week after somebody moves house.
Rates
What a session costs
One price per session, quoted up front, with nothing added at the end. Cash, card and gift certificates all fine. If you are not sure which to book, call and we will sort it out in two minutes.
Swedish massage
Sixty minutes covers back, shoulders, neck, arms and legs at a steady pace. Ninety gives all of that room to breathe and adds the feet and scalp.
Deep tissue
Priced slightly higher because the pace is slower and the work is more demanding on both of us. Sixty is usually enough for one area, ninety for two or three.
Hot stone
Seventy-five minutes, because heating and placing the stones properly takes time and rushing it defeats the purpose.
Relaxation session
Ninety minutes at lighter pressure throughout. No problem to solve, no deep work unless you ask for it on the day.
First visit
New here? Book ninety minutes.
The first ten minutes go on talking, and on a sixty-minute booking that leaves fifty on the table. Ninety gives us room to find out how your body responds without cutting the session short. After that, most people settle into sixty every three or four weeks.
